Brazilian midfielder Elano is confident that Man City can push on for Champions League qualification next season. The player had been linked with a move away this summer, but these quotes seem to indicate his future is in Manchester.

Elano told the Manchester Evening News: "We haven't achieved some of our objectives during the season, but I think we can improve next year and fight for a UEFA Cup place again, or even a Champions League spot.



"I think it's been a productive season for me. I've scored goals and got to know the English football style.



"It was a good first season and I'm sure I will improve here."
