Manchester United are closely monitoring the contract situation of Paris Saint-Germain defender Nuno Mendes, according to Sky Sports.
The Portuguese has been a key player for the Ligue 1 holders since his arrival from Sporting CP in 2022. However, his future is uncertain due to a contract stand-off.
He has yet to commit his future beyond June 2026. PSG could be forced to sanction his sale next summer if he does not prolong his stay.
United are keeping a close eye on proceedings and it is claimed that they could make an approach for him at the end of the campaign.
A winter deal is not on the cards. PSG have no intention to sanction his sale while United don't have the funds to afford him due to PSR issues.
Real Madrid have also been linked with Mendes in the past, but the European champions are no longer interested in the Portuguese.
United could have a free run at signing him. Manager Ruben Amorim could be reunited with Mendes, having managed him at Sporting CP.
