Serie A club Como are considering a move to sign Manchester United left-back Tyrell Malacia this winter, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
The Netherlands international returned from a long-term knee injury earlier this season, but he has struggled to impress manager Ruben Amorim.
Malacia has started three games in all competitions for the club, but his performances have been disappointing from the left wing-back role.
He has been a regular on the bench for the past few weeks and Pedulla claims that Como are interested in bringing him to Serie A in the near future.
The newly-promoted club want to add more solidity to their backline and Malacia has been identified as an upgrade on Alberto Moreno.
United have no plans of parting ways with him at the moment, but the scenario could change if they land a quality replacement.
The club are eyeing an ambitious deal for Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes, but he is more likely to be sold in the summer.
