Manchester United have entered negotiations to sign Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu, according to The Athletic.
The Red Devils are aiming to bolster the left wing-back department this winter with Tyrell Malacia set to leave on loan.
The club have monitored Dorgu for a number of months and they have now opened negotiations with Lecce for his services.
Manager Ruben Amorim has already given the green light and talks are also ongoing with the player's agent over personal terms.
The 20-year-old started his career with Lecce as a left wing-back, but he has primarily played as a right winger for his club this season.
His versatility would be a huge boost for United. He will most likely feature as a wing-back, but could be used as a forward when required.
United have yet to make a formal transfer bid on the table, but reports claim that it could cost around €40m to prise him away this winter.
