Manchester United have made a contract offer to Arsenal defender Ayden Heaven, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 18-year-old has yet to make his first-team breakthrough, but he has one appearance to his name in the Carabao Cup this term.
Heaven has also been part of Arsenal's matchday squad, but he could be heading for the exit door at the end of the campaign.
He is currently on scholarship terms until June 30. As things stand, he has yet to accept personal terms over a professional deal.
United are aiming to capitalise on the situation. Romano claims that they are leading the race to sign him ahead of Barcelona.
The Red Devils convinced Chido Obi-Martin to join them from the Gunners earlier last year. The club could repeat the feat.
Arsenal have a contract offer on the table to the youngster and it remains to be seen whether they can persuade him to prolong his stay.
Otherwise, he could join the Red Devils for a small compensation fee.
