Albin Ekdal joins Juventus

Juventus have completed the signing of Brommapojkarna's young talent, Albin Ekdal. The Swedish player had been linked with a move to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool this summer, but Juventus won the race for his signature.

  • The Swedish youth international joined the club in a fee worth around £500,000.



    “I am very happy and proud to be able to wear the Juventus shirt,” enthused Ekdal. “It will be an important experience in the development of my career.



    “I will have the opportunity to train with many champions and I cannot wait to start.”



    Ekdal is rated as one of the best young players in Sweden and Juventus are delighted to have completed the signing of him.



    “Albin is a young and very promising player,” Juventus' sporting director Alessio Secco said. “His acquisition is part of Juventus’ project, which focuses on the promotion of youngsters.



    “We are happy that Albin chose to wear the colours of Juve. He will be an important player, who will contribute to the construction of our future.”
