Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided an injury update on Cole Palmer following the 1-0 Premier League loss to Arsenal on the road.
The Blues struggled to impose themselves against the Gunners earlier today. They lost after a solitary goal from Mikel Merino from a corner.
Palmer was absent for the London derby due to hamstring tightness and speaking after the loss, Maresca said that Palmer will have a scan tomorrow.
He said: "He needs a scan. The scan is planned for Monday, tomorrow. I hope so [he will be back after the international break] but we will have to see. It's a muscle problem."
The Blues had the opportunity to boost their Champions League bid, but the defeat means they are only one point ahead of fifth-placed Manchester City.
Meanwhile, only two points separate them from Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion. The Magpies have a game in hand as well.
Chelsea will need to step up after the international break.
