Manchester United could consider signing Braga forward Roger Fernandes when the transfer window reopens this summer, according to O Jogo.
The Red Devils suffered a huge setback earlier this month as Chelsea hijacked their pursuit of Geovany Quenda. The 17-year-old will sign for the Blues from Sporting Lisbon next year.
United have now earmarked Fernandes as a fall-back option and they are reportedly determined to land him amid interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
The attacker can play on either wing. He is also comfortable in the wing-back positions and has operated as a full-back too.
He has a release clause worth €40m in his existing deal, but Braga are prepared to sanction his sale for around €30m.
Fernandes has 10 goal contributions to his name this campaign. He is widely expected to leave Braga in the summer.
The teenager could be seen as a potential right wing-back solution for manager Ruben Amorim after missing out on Quenda.
