Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed a fresh injury blow following the Premier League loss to Newcastle United.
The Red Devils went into the game at St James' Park as huge underdogs and they were beaten by a comfortable 4-1 scoreline.
Joshua Zirkzee had a decent outing, but was eventually substituted with a hamstring issue which has now been confirmed.
Speaking in his post-match presser, Amorim said: "Josh, I think he will be out for some games. So, let’s focus on the next one [against Lyon]."
The news is a huge setback for the Red Devils, considering the lack of regular goals within the squad at the current point of time.
Zirkzee has shown some promise over the past few games. He scored in the 2-2 draw against Lyon in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final.
United host Les Gones in the return leg on Thursday. They will be without Zirkzee. Rasmus Hojlund has a huge responsibility upfront.
