The England international has been in superb form for the Villans this campaign. He has registered 14 goals and provided 12 assists.

His form has caught the eye of elite clubs and reports claim that United could be prepared to test Aston Villa's resolve over the summer.

Villa have had plenty of financial problems to deal with and they may need to balance their books again at the end of the current season.

United are reportedly prepared to pay around £70 million for the attacker, who would be a superb addition in the attacking midfield role.

Amorim has played with two number 10s since his appointment as manager. Rogers could form a brilliant partnership with Bruno Fernandes.

It remains to be seen whether a deal materialises. United could also use Marcus Rashford as a makeweight to land Rogers for a reduced fee.
