Arsenal have received a positive injury update on midfielder Thomas Partey ahead of the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.
Partey was exceptional in the first leg against the European champions. He controlled proceedings in midfield and was the second-best player after Declan Rice.
The midfielder picked up an injury in the 1-1 Premier League draw against Brentford at the weekend, but the Gunners are hopeful that he will recover in time to face Madrid.
Arsenal have a resounding 3-0 lead over Madrid after the first leg at the Emirates Stadium, but they face a huge challenge at the Bernabeu this week.
Partey's presence would be a huge boost for the Gunners, considering the Ghanaian has rich experience of playing Madrid from his time with Atletico.
If he were to be sidelined, Declan Rice could operate in the number eight role and could be assisted by Mikel Merino, who has faced Madrid many times too with Real Sociedad.
