Arsenal are seriously considering a move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo ahead of the summer transfer window, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The London giants are expected to bolster their strikeforce ahead of next season, and a marquee striker is reportedly one of the main priorities.
The club are also keen on landing a versatile forward, and reports claim that Rodrygo has been identified as a market opportunity for the Gunners.
Madrid have recently turned their attention to Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams. They could be willing to trigger his £49 million release clause.
This could pave the way for Rodrygo's exit and Plettenberg reveals that the Gunners are seriously considering an approach for his signature.
However, a deal won't be straightforward. The attacker could cost a huge fee in the region of £84 million and could demand hefty wages.
A transfer could depend on Arsenal negotiating a long-term payment plan with Madrid such that they are not hampered by PSR spending limits.
