The Blues have already made three bids for the Englishman, but they are yet to meet Dortmund's €65 million price tag.

Chelsea are prepared to make a fourth bid on the table, but Fichajes claim that the Gunners could hijack their pursuit.

Mikel Arteta's side are also keen on landing a left-sided winger and could make an offer for their own for Gittens.

Arsenal were initially keen on landing Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, but he has his sights on joining Barcelona.

Real Madrid's Rodrygo has been identified as an alternative target, but the Brazilian may not be available for sale.

Hence, Gittens has emerged as the fallback option and the Gunners could compete with the Blues for his services.

The 20-year-old has already opened the door for a move to the Premier League, but prefers to join a Champions League outfit.
