Arsenal are yet to make a formal approach to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Gunners are determined to land a marquee striker this summer and Sesko is one of the top names under consideration alongside Viktor Gyokeres.
The club have held initial talks with Leipzig for the Slovenian star, but as things stand, they are yet to meet the demands of the Bundesliga outfit.
Arsenal have no plans of paying the striker's €80 million release clause and prefer to negotiate a long-term payment plan over multiple seasons.
In such a case, Leipzig want as much as €100 million for Sesko. This is something which the Gunners are reluctant to pay at the moment.
On top of this, the club have not agreed on personal terms with the striker. Hence, a transfer appears far from straightforward for now.
Arsenal are likely to continue talks to find a suitable solution.
