Inter quiet on Mourinho deal

Inter quiet on Mourinho deal

27 May 2008 - 06:31

Inter Milan have decided not to break the ice yet on the paper talks about Jose Mourinho having been given a three-year contract worth 9.5 million euros per season as coach of the club.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Portguese sports daily "A Bola" broke the astonishing news that Inter Milan have decided to make the former Chelsea boss jose Mourinho as their new manager for next season. This came after months of speculation surrounding the tenure of Inter's current coach Roberto Mancini.

Inter Milan however have not released any official declaration on the matter. They have neither refused nor accepted the speculation.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti told Radio Monte Carlo:

"Mancini? In truth I have planned no meeting. I fully intend not to rush him."

Which is to subtly imply that Mourinho is welcome at Inter Milan.
