Newcastle United have made an official bid to sign Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Magpies are determined to land a new marksman during the ongoing transfer window with Alexander Isak pushing for a move to Liverpool.
Talks have already been held with Sesko's camp and the club have now made an official bid of €75 million plus €5m in add-ons for the 22-year-old.
Leipzig have yet to respond to the proposal, considering they need to know the player's stance, who is undecided regarding his next challenge.
Sesko was absent for the friendly against Atalanta today and he is expected to take time to decide on which club to play for in the coming season.
The Magpies are willing to splash the cash for him, but they are not alone with United also in the hunt for the services of the Slovenian star.
Sesko is expected to make a final decision in the next few days.
