Nigerian international right winger Samuel Chukwueze will be allowed to leave AC Milan after two seasons, and Premier League duo Nottingham Forest and Fulham are both in competition to sign the 26-year-old for a reported 27 million euros. The former Villarreal star, who played 155 times in La Liga for the Yellow Submarines scoring 21 goals, has had a good pre-season at the Rossoneri but would like a move to England.
Fulham were understood to be leading the race to sign Chukwueze, but Nottingham Forest's late offer could sidetrack the Cottagers' best efforts. Forest are seeking a replacement for Anthony Elanga, who departed for Newcastle United earlier in the summer transfer window, and are happy to match AC Milan's pricetag.
With 46 appearances for Nigeria and seven goals, the winger is one of Africa's best attackers and has been linked with a move to England several times in recent years.
Tuttosport reports that Fulham have made a loan offer with an option to buy, and Forest are willing to spend cash up front. It is understood that should Chukwueze complete a move to Nottingham, Fulham will then make a bid for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, who had a loan stint at Craven Cottage last season.
