Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven has picked up a knock ahead of the Premier League opener against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina in Saturday's pre-season friendly. Heaven started the game in the left centre-back role and was hugely impressive with a passing accuracy of 98 percent.
He also completed 100 percent of his long balls alongside five recoveries. However, his game ended on a disappointing note as he picked up a knock to his leg in the 73rd minute. He was soon after substituted.
It is now reported that Heaven could be doubtful to face his former employers next weekend. In that case, Luke Shaw is likely to get the nod in the XI.
United had a decent pre-season with three wins and two draws. They will be aiming to make a statement by beating the Gunners at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are winless in the last five league meetings with four losses and one draw. They will be determined to end the wretched streak.
