Chelsea playmaker Christopher Nkunku has emerged as one of the main targets for Bayern Munich, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Frenchman has spent the past two years with the Blues, but he is expected to move on before the transfer window closes.
Nkunku has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Enzo Maresca after the significant spending to bolster the attack this summer.
The Blues are still keen on landing Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons, but it could depend on some players heading for the exit door.
Nkunku is one of those poised to depart, and reports claim that Bayern are open to signing him as he can operate anywhere in the final third.
However, a transfer could ultimately depend on the price as the Bavarian giants have no plans of meeting the previous £55 million price tag.
Chelsea may be compelled to lower their valuation too as they may not want to be stuck with Nkunku beyond the current transfer window.
