Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has heaped praise on his players following the 1-0 Premier League defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils started their league campaign against Mikel Arteta's side, and they produced a fine performance despite not finding the back of the net.
The club had 22 attempts on goal compared to the Gunners' nine. They had seven shots on target compared to the Gunners' tally of only three.
Speaking after the 1-0 loss, Amorim said: "It was a very good performance. I'm really proud of the players but, in the end, we lost the game. But again, for me, you can win and you can lose in the end, but I am super proud of what they did, my players. It's a good feeling. It's a good feeling. At the same time, it's really hard to lose a game like this."
United had chances to find the back of the net, but goalkeeper David Raya was in superb form between the sticks and never looked like conceding.
Raya was adjudged the man of the match after seven saves. The Gunners' defence contributed heavily to the 1-0 victory at Old Trafford on Sunday.
