Wolves have won the race to sign Girona midfielder Ladislav Krejci, with the 26-year-old to sign a four-year deal at Molineux. Krejci moved to Girona in 2024 from Sparta Prague and had impressed in his debut season in La Liga, playing 29 times, and scoring two goals.
Ladislav Krejci would be an excellent addition for Wolves due to his commanding presence in midfield and leadership qualities. As captain of Sparta Prague, he has developed into a powerful, box-to-box player who contributes both defensively and offensively. His aerial dominance and physicality would give Wolves an edge in set pieces, an area where the club has often struggled. The player's versatility, being able to play as a defensive midfielder or even drop into central defense, adds valuable tactical flexibility.
Beyond his physical and defensive strengths, Krjeci also contributes goals and creativity from midfield, something Wolves have lacked since losing Ruben Neves. His ability to drive forward with the ball, deliver incisive passes, and make late runs into the box would add another dimension to the team’s attacking play. At just 25, he has the right balance of experience and potential to adapt quickly to the Premier League while still having years of development ahead, making him a signing that could immediately improve Wolves’ squad depth and long-term outlook.
He will move to the Premier League side for around £18 million.
