Manchester City are to complete a deal for Italy and Paris St Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this coming week, in a transfer package that will be worth around 80 million euros. The shot stopper has said his goodbyes to PSG colleagues and will fly to England on Monday morning to negotiate a contract.
PSG manager Luis Enrique and Donnarumma fell out last month, with the Spanish manager instead signing Lucas Chevalier as a replacement for the Italian.
The keeper will take the number 1 jersey at City, as new signing from Burnley James Trafford struggled in the weekend's defeat to Tottenham, and Brazilian keeper Ederson will likely make a move elsewhere.
In signing Donnarumma, City will be signing one of the world's best goalies, but not one famous for his ball-playing ability - a trait of Guardiola's sides - and so many pundits are wondering if the club will be adapting their playing style to accommodate the new arrival.
Ederson will likely make a move to Saudi Arabia in the next couple of weeks, with a transfer fee of £50 million reported.
