Liverpool and Paris St Germain are pursuing a move for former Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Olise, with Bayern Munich ready to sell the French international for around 75 million euros, and Olise said to be interested in a departure after just one season in the Bundesliga. Liverpool are desperate to sign a new midfielder before the transfer window closes, and PSG have funds to spend on new players.
Paris St Germain manager Luis Enrique has made the signing of a central midfielder his primary goal this transfer window, while Liverpool manager Arne Slot is a big fan of Olise and needs additional strength in depth to the club's midfield. Olise's versatility is exactly what type of player Liverpool are interested in bringing to Anfield.
The 23-year-old has been told by Bayern that should a club enter the race to sign him, they would consider a possible departure. The Liverpool Echo has hinted that Liverpool see Olise as a possible eventual successor to Mohamed Salah.
Bayern are rumoured to be building funds to make a potential approach for Gabriel Martinelli.
