Andrea Barzagli has completed a shock move to the Bundesliga. The Italian international defender was expected to join Fiorentina, but chose to move to Wolfsburg instead. Apparently, the German side were willing to pay the defender much more.

The player's agent, Orlandini told the Italian press: “Its True, Andrea has signed for Wolfsburg. There was a 200 thousand euro difference between what we asked for and what Fiorentina were willing to give.”



“They did not want to take our requests into consideration, so we accepted another offer. That’s all there is to say.”
