Arsenal and Chelsea were both interested in signing Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz during the summer transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Gunners and Blues made several forward acquisitions over the summer and reports claim that Yildiz could have made the move to the English capital.
Super agent Jorge Mendes tried to broker a deal with both teams, but the Bianconeri were adamant that the Turkish star was going nowhere.
As a result, the London giants turned their attention to alternative targets, but there could be fresh interest in signing the 20-year-old next summer.
Juventus were strong financially after qualifying for the Champions League. If they were to miss out next term, it could open the door for Yildiz's exit.
Yildiz has previously mentioned that he is clearly happy at the Bianconeri, but he could be tempted to move to the English capital at some stage in his career.
The 20-year-old has been valued at €50m by Transfermarkt.
