van der Vaart to Inter?

16 September 2007 - 22:36

HSV's Dutch midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has been linked with a January move to Inter Milan. van der Vaart's ex-Ajax teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic has sounded out the Inter board regarding a transfer swoop for the talented midfielder.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Tuttosport says just as he did with Cristian Chivu, Ibrahimovic has recommended Van der Vaart to Inter chiefs Marco Branca and Lele Oriali.

Inter Milan are keen to sign a midfielder as they look to retain their Serie A title.

However, van der Vaart has moved to reject such claims, "I feel fine. Luckily all the furore has died down and I now want to be successful with HSV.

“But I don’t know what the club have planned. Perhaps if they need €20 million in the winter, then perhaps I won’t be here for the second half of the season."

It is believed that Inter are infact lining up such a huge bid for the Dutchman which will really test HSV's willingness to hang on to their player.
