Cesc: What pressure?

Cesc: What pressure?

28 May 2008 - 21:26

Arsenal and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas has today dismissed reports that he would be feeling the pressure having to wear the coveted number 10 jersey.

  • Arsenal to hijack Chelsea deal for English winger?
  • Arsenal & Chelsea battling to sign Ajax defender

  • Despite facing a tough task to even earn a starting place, coach Luis Aragones has gifted the number 10 shirt to the Arsenal star. He is competing for a place against the Barca duo of Andres Iniesta and Xavi, as well as the likes of Xabi Alonso and Villareal's Senna.

With regards to his shirt number, Cesc was certainly confident he could do it justice.

"It doesn't weigh on me, you must play in your position as you know how to and with the same self-assurance as normal."

"Luis has given me an opportunity, and if I get time on the pitch I must use it responsibly and try to play as I do for my club."
