Arsenal received a huge boost yesterday as Liverpool suffered a late 2-1 loss at Crystal Palace. The Gunners capitalised on this by beating Newcastle.
The Gunners are now just two points ahead of the Merseyside giants and have the opportunity to close the gap further during the next set of fixtures.
Liverpool face Chelsea on the road next weekend. Arsenal, on the other hand, have a London derby against struggling West Ham United at home.
