Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has said that the Blues lacked creativity during the 2-1 Premier League defeat to Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues were favourites to beat the Black Cats with home advantage and they made the perfect start with Alejandro Garnacho scoring in the fourth minute.
Despite this, they were unable to double their advantage. Wilson Isidor levelled the scores in the opening half and eventually bagged the winner in stoppage time.
Chemsdine Talbi sealed the victory for the Black Cats. Speaking after the game, Maresca said that the Blues were not good enough and lacked the creativity.
He said: "We were not good enough. Lack of creativity. We didn't create a lot apart from the goal probably. Even at 1-0, we lost some second balls and against this team, we need to win them."
The Blues were on a long winning streak but were unable to capitalise on their form against Sunderland. They will be aiming to return to winning ways against Wolves in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
