Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has heaped praise on Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo after the 1-0 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur on the road last weekend.
The Blues jumped to seventh in the standings after a 1-0 victory over Spurs. Caicedo was handed the man of the match for his brilliant showing.
The Ecuadorian star was exceptional in winning duels in the centre of the park and also provided the match-winning assist for Joao Pedro too.
There are no surprises that Shearer picked him in his Premier League Team of the Week. He said: "Caicedo was a powerhouse in midfield, running the show with his energy and aggression.
"Most notably when he dispossessed both Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven to set up Joao Pedro's winner."
The former Brighton & Hove Albion man has established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.
He has always been strong with his defensive contributions, but he has added more goals and assists to his name this season.
Chelsea host bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League this weekend before the next international break.
