Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen on signing two midfielders during next summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils primarily focused on strengthening their attack last summer with the purchases of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
They are expected to target midfield and defensive signings next year and Amorim has his sights on landing two marquee midfielders, as per Mirror.
The same outlet claim that Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson and Brighton & Hove Albion's Carlos Baleba are the priority targets.
Both players have made huge progress over the last 12 months, and they are open to pursuing bigger challenges at the end of the ongoing season.
United could still pursue a temporary solution in January, given the lack of sufficient quality behind Casemiro for the number six role this term.
Atletico Madrid turned down a loan offer for Conor Gallagher from United last summer, but the Red Devils could try again at the turn of the year.
