Everton and West Ham United have emerged as potential contenders to land Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo on loan during the upcoming winter transfer window, according to ESPN.
The Englishman has managed just over 200 minutes in the Premier League this campaign and has played second fiddle to Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in the centre of the park under manager Ruben Amorim.
This has spread speculation that he could push for a temporary move elsewhere. He has his sights on making a late push for the England World Cup squad with regular playing time in the coming months.
Napoli have been linked with the 20-year-old for some time, but their interest seems to have diminished. However, the midfielder could still make a loan exit with the Toffees and Hammers also in the pursuit.
Both clubs are yearning for more creativity in the heart of the midfield and could be prepared to provide a temporary escape route for Mainoo.
