Chelsea could reportedly make an attempt to sign Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi during the winter transfer window.
Bouaddi has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in French football, and he recently penned a new long-term deal.
Despite this, there is speculation that he could be sold as early as January with a number of elite European clubs already vying for his services.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are among his admirers, but Chelsea could seek to beat the competition this winter.
Caught Offside claim that the Blues could be willing to pay between €45-50 million for the youngster, who can play in multiple midfield roles.
Chelsea are aiming to add more depth and quality behind Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, and Bouaddi would be a perfect acquisition for the club next month.
The Blues are presently fourth in the league standings with 29 points. They face a tough challenge at home against Aston Villa next weekend.
