van Persie staying at Arsenal

Robin van Persie has ruled out the chance of a summer move away from Arsenal after revealing that his future was very much going to be at the Gunners. The Dutch striker reportedly told press last week that he wanted to see Arsenal spend a lot of money this summer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni
  • Van Persie has quickly moved to reject rumours that he will be leaving the club though.

The Dutchman said: “I’ve never thought about leaving for a less physical league like Spain.

“I’m a committed Arsenal lad and discussing a new contract. It’s not the money which is important, it’s keeping this team together.

“Collectively we can become something very special.”
