Manchester United are targeting a move for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande after missing out on a deal for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo.
The Red Devils were recently keen on landing Semenyo from the Cherries, but they have suffered a setback with his preference to join Manchester City.
The Ghanaian has the ambition of winning trophies during the prime of his career and has verbally agreed to join the Cityzens at the start of next month.
United are now exploring an alternative option in the transfer market and reports claim that Diomande of Leipzig could be their next target.
However, any move for the Ivorian could be halted until the end of the campaign, given he could be out of their budget for the next window.
Leipzig want a staggering £87 million for the teenage winger which is much higher than the £65 million release clause in Semenyo's contract.
Diomande has made 12 goal contributions for Leipzig this campaign.
