Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are preparing offers to sign Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves during the winter transfer window, according to Sabah in Turkey.
Neves will enter the final six months of his contract in January and he has no plans to renew. Hence, Al-Hilal are expected to sanction his sale rather than lose him on a free transfer.
Galatasaray are weighing up a move for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers star, but they are expected to face fierce competition from Premier League clubs, as per reports.
United and Spurs could battle it out for the services of Neves, who is reportedly keen on a return to English football.
There are no favourites at the moment, but United could have the upperhand over Spurs, given their league form.
The Red Devils are currently on 26 points compared to Spurs' tally of 22.
They look more likelier to qualify for European football compared to Spurs, who have been in a freefall over recent weeks.
