Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on goalkeeper David Raya after the club's 2-1 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners returned to the top of the table after a victory over the Seagulls, but were made to work hard for the three points. They looked very anxious at 2-1 and required a wonder save from Raya to secure a win.
Speaking after the result, Arteta said that Raya's save was sensational, he said: "It was sensational. [The shot] had a great angle on it. We need those performances in the big moments."
The Gunners were under pressure after Manchester City's late 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest, and they responded with a victory over Brighton.
It was far from convincing but Arsenal can take positives from the fact that they created numerous chances and could have won by a bigger margin.
The Gunners face another stern challenge against Aston Villa on Tuesday night and they must turn up with a better attacking performance.
