Tottenham are in contact with Manchester City with regard to a January loan deal for Egyptian international forward Omar Marmoush, the 26-year-old has so far been a substitute this campaign despite having chalked up 15 first-team appearances for City, ten of them in the Premier League. Spurs are seeking several new players in the January transfer window, but attacking options are the club's preference.
Marmoush arrived at the Etihad Stadium with a lofty reputation from Eintracht Frankfurt, but failed to provide the goals last season to catapult City to the league title after injuries to star striker Erling Haaland. With just one goal in his 15 appearances so far this season, City will be ready to let Marmoush leave on a temporary basis. City paid around £50 million for the forward, and could sell the player for around the same fee next summer, but Marmoush wants regular first-team football ahead of next summer's World Cup in North America.
Pep Guardiola is open to letting Marmoush leave, and other teams are also interested outside of the Premier League, with Italian giants Juventus said to have been in contact.
