Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly injured ahead of the Premier League encounter against Arsenal on the road this weekend.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Manchester City at Old Trafford. Zirkzee was not in the matchday squad.
It was initially reported that the Dutchman was left of the team due to the speculation over his future, but that does not appear to be the case.
Zirkzee instead picked up an injury in training and he is now doubtful for the north London trip to take on the Gunners at the Emirates on Sunday.
Interim United boss Michael Carrick went without a specialist striker in the XI last weekend. Benjamin Sesko was on the bench as Byran Mbeumo led the line for the Mancunian giants.
He could stick with a similar formula when United visit the Emirates. The Red Devils will aim to beat Arsenal in an away league game for the first time since December 2017.
