Arsenal attacker Martin Odegaard could be deemed fit for the Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road on Wednesday night.
The north London giants returned to winning ways against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth round yesterday. They registered a convincing 4-0 victory.
Odegaard was absent from the matchday squad after a sore knock to his knee during the 1-1 Premier League draw against Brentford away from home.
Eberechi Eze was initially picked to start as the number 10 against the Latics, but an injury to left-back Riccardo Calafiori contributed to multiple changes.
Myles Lewis-Skelly, who was first selected to play in central midfield, moved to left-back. Eze played in a deeper role, while Bukayo Saka started as the no.10.
After the game, Arteta said that he could use Saka more often in the position. He could be a solution for the manager if Odegaard is not deemed fit to start.
The Norwegian is widely expected to return to training on Tuesday, but it is not certain that he will be picked to start against Wolves.
