Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has come in support of goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen after the club's 5-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League round of 16.
The Blues suffered a demoralising loss to the European champions on the road last night. They were in the game at 2-2 but a sequence of mishaps contributed to a heavy defeat.
Jorgensen was partly at fault with his poor goalkeeping but Rosenior refused to criticise him after the game, he said: "Players make mistake. Filip isn't the first to make a mistake, that's part of football."
Chelsea now have a mountain to climb, considering they have a three-goal deficit to recover in the second leg without conceding to stay in the tie.
Prior to that, the Blues have a big Premier League game against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge and it appears a must-win for the club.
With Liverpool having a winnable fixture against Tottenham Hotspur, the Blues must beat the Magpies or they could drop to sixth in the table.
A top-five finish guarantees Champions League football next season.
