Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has emerged as the top target to replace Casemiro at Manchester United in the summer.
Casemiro has been one of United's best performers during the ongoing season, but his future will be away from the Mancunian giants.
It has already been confirmed that the 34-year-old will walk away on a free transfer when his contract concludes at the end of June.
UOL Sport now claim that Guimaraes has been earmarked as the ideal replacement for Casemiro, who has personally recommended the signing.
Guimaraes has been a standout performer for the Magpies over the past four years, but his future is uncertain amid the club's poor league form.
The Tyneside outfit are facing a tough task to qualify for the Champions League and this could urge the midfielder to pursue a bigger challenge.
United have been long-term admirers of the Brazilian but he won't come on the cheap. It could cost at least £80m to prise him away from Newcastle.
