Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte could make a potential move to Serie A with Juventus at the end of the season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Uruguayan has endured a tough career with the Red Devils and he has hardly started for the club since the turn of the year. Interim boss Michael Carrick has preferred Casemiro in the no.6 role.
Casemiro will be leaving at the club when his contract expires on June 30, but reports claim that the United hierarchy have started the hunt for a marquee replacement to succeed the Brazilian star.
Hence, Ugarte is seriously considering his options for the summer. Juventus were watching him on international duty recently and are prepared to make a proposal for the former Paris Saint-Germain man.
The Red Devils bought Ugarte from PSG for an initial £42 million and may have to cut their losses on him to sanction his sale this summer. They are likely to pursue a replacement in case that happens.
