Blackburn successor soon

Blackburn are set to announce their replacement for Mark Hughes very shortly. A host of names such as Sam Allardyce and Paul Ince have been linked with the job, but as of yet no official confirmation has been made.

However, Blackburn's chairman John Williams has revealed he expects to have named the successor before next weekend.



"We are still on target to make an appointment by the end of next week - that's still my plan.



"We've got some busy days ahead, between now and the middle of next week, but if all goes to plan then we should be in a position to make an announcement by the weekend."
