  • The Brazil international has had a difficult campaign with the Gunners, and he has largely played second fiddle to Viktor Gyokeres upfront.

His situation is unlikely to change for the remainder of the ongoing campaign, and this could hamper his World Cup selection hopes as well.

Jesus has now acknowledged that his current focus is on the Gunners, but he will contemplate on his future once the season formally concludes.

He said: "Obviously, my situation at Arsenal has changed from what it was before, but my main focus today remains Arsenal, making things happen here, helping in whatever way the manager needs, and then, obviously, when the season is over, we'll start thinking about it."

Arsenal have suffered three defeats in their last four matches including a Carabao Cup final loss and an FA Cup quarter-final exit.

They recently suffered a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League where Jesus was a late substitute with the club trailing.

Jesus was on the radar of Serie A clubs at the start of the year and there is a possibility that he could move to Italy in the summer.

He could be signed for a knockdown fee with his contract expiring next year. AC Milan and Juventus are keeping tabs on him.
