According to the Mail, Manchester City are preparing to make an offer of £200,000 pw for Ronaldinho.
Manchester City has been in the front page of every newspaper lately, with the departure of Sven-Goran Eriksson and Mark Hughes' arrival. The Mail reports that there could be more big news for the City fans in the coming weeks.
It has been suggested that Shinawatra is planning a £200,000-a-week deal for Ronaldinho.
The sources close to Man City owner Thaksin Shinawatra revealed that member's of City's Thai board are expected to meet Ronaldinho face-to-face in Porto Alegre.
A source in Spain is quoted as saying: "Ronaldinho is showing a growing interest in going to England and while there is still much negotiating ahead, it is possible. Also in City's favour is this: Who else can afford him?"
Chelsea is also interested in signing the player, but the £135.000-a-week offer is not par with the City's huge offer.
The Mail suggests that Manchester City are planning to pair Ronaldinho with Brazilian centre-forward Jo, rated £20M.
