Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has said he would love to see Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice play for the Red Devils next season.
The Red Devils are preparing for a busy summer transfer window, and there is a possibility that they could sign more than one midfielder.
Casemiro is set to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires on June 30, while Manuel Ugarte could be offloaded by the club too.
Amidst this, Scholes has said that United need someone like Rice in their ranks. He said on his podcast last night: "I know I’ve slagged him off a little bit, but I think Manchester United need someone like Rice. I think they need a proper central midfielder."
Arsenal are unlikely to part ways with Rice anytime soon, but United could sign a similar profile in the transfer market this summer.
Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton and Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni are among high-profile names on their transfer radar.
