Motta picks up knee injury

17 September 2007 - 15:32

Atletico Madrid's summer loan signing from Barcelona, Thiago Motta, has collapsed in training with an injury. The midfielder landed heavily on his leg in training and collapsed in pain.

  • Confirmed Liverpool line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Fulham, Barcola & Munoz start
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow against Sunderland
  • Motta has a history of injury problems and it has been reported that his previous club, FC Barcelona, always had concerns over his strength.

Motta spent 6 months on the sidelines during his last 3 years at Barcelona, thanks to a serious knee ligament injury.

The 25-year-old will be gutted to be spending more time out of action.
