Chelsea make fresh Joao Pedro transfer decision

14 May 2026 - 20:09

Chelsea have a clear stance on Joao Pedro's future ahead of the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.

  • Arsenal ace avoids surgery after knee injury

  • The Blues signed Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion last term, and he has proved to be a fantastic signing with 20 goals and nine assists thus far.

His progress has caught the eye of La Liga champions Barcelona, who are eyeing a dynamic striker to replace Robert Lewandowski in future.

The Athletic now claim that Chelsea consider Pedro as an indispensable player in the squad, and have no plans to entertain his departure.

Barring the player pushing for an exit, a transfer won't happen.

Pedro has stayed quiet over the speculation linking him with Barcelona, and it appears he is happy to stay with the Blues for another season.

Chelsea won't be playing in the Champions League next term, but could qualify for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup title.

They face a huge challenge in the final against Manchester City this weekend.
