Arsenal have emerged as strong contenders to land Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers during the summer transfer window, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The London giants ended their 22-year wait for the Premier League title this year and are now expected to strengthen their squad further to defend their English crown.
They have been linked with Anthony Gordon and Julian Alvarez, but it appears that both players could join Barcelona before the summer World Cup in North America.
Gordon has already travelled for his medical from Newcastle United, and reports claim that Barcelona are pushing to secure an agreement for Alvarez very soon.
Hence, Arsenal may have to look at alternative choices and Jacobs claims that Rogers is quickly emerging as a top target for the reigning English champions.
Villa recently won the Europa League title under manager Unai Emery, but they are still open to parting ways with Rogers if they receive around £80 million for him.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the Englishman. The Gunners reportedly see him as an upgrade on Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli on the left wing.
